Let's explore what your Cypress backyard could become.
Custom Pool Designs for Cypress Backyards
Cypress includes everything from established residential neighborhoods to growing master-planned communities like Bridgeland and Towne Lake. Each property brings different opportunities for pool design, outdoor entertaining, and backyard improvements.
A smaller backyard might call for an efficient, multifunctional layout. A larger property could accommodate a spacious pool, integrated spa, and dedicated gathering areas.
The key is making the most of your particular space.
Making the Most of Your Backyard
A successful pool design begins with understanding the property's dimensions, layout, and how different outdoor areas will work together.
Depending on your goals, we can explore features such as:
Geometric pools that maximize usable backyard space.
Freeform designs with a relaxed, natural appearance.
Raised or integrated spas for year-round enjoyment.
Shallow tanning ledges for lounging and family time.
Water features that add movement and visual appeal.
Coordinated decking that connects your pool and patio.
We consider how each element fits into the backyard so the finished space feels comfortable, functional, and thoughtfully planned.

Designed for Family Time and Entertaining
For many Cypress homeowners, a swimming pool becomes the center of family activities and weekend gatherings.
During planning, we'll discuss considerations such as:
How many people will regularly use the pool?
Do you want separate spaces for swimming and relaxing?
Would a spa complement your family's routine?
Where should guests gather outside the water?
How much patio space will you need for entertaining?
Thinking through these details early helps create a backyard that's enjoyable for everyday use and special occasions alike.
Custom Pool Features Worth Considering in Cypress
The features you choose can make your pool more comfortable, versatile, and enjoyable throughout Houston's extended swimming season.
Integrated Spas
A custom spa adds another way to enjoy your backyard beyond swimming.
Whether raised or integrated into the pool layout, a spa can create a relaxing focal point and complement the overall design.
Tanning Ledges & Built-In Seats
Tanning ledges provide shallow water areas where swimmers can sit, lounge, or cool off.
Built-in benches offer convenient places to gather without leaving the pool, making them especially useful for socializing.
Water Features
Spillways, waterfalls, and fountains can bring sound and movement into your backyard.
These additions can help create a relaxing atmosphere while giving the pool a distinctive visual feature.
Lighting & Finishing Details
Underwater lighting can enhance the appearance of your pool during evening gatherings.
Tile selections, coping, and interior finishes help establish the pool's character and complement the surrounding outdoor space.
Create a Complete Backyard Retreat in Cypress
A swimming pool can become the centerpiece of your outdoor space, but the surrounding areas determine how you experience the backyard when you're not in the water.
Combining pool construction with complementary outdoor improvements can make your backyard more versatile for relaxing, cooking, and entertaining.
Patios, Decking, & Backyard Layout
The transition between your home, patio, and swimming pool deserves careful planning.
Decking can provide space for lounge chairs, dining areas, and convenient movement around the pool.
A coordinated layout helps make each part of the backyard feel connected and accessible.
Fire Features & Outdoor Gathering Spaces
Fire pits and other fire features can extend the appeal of your backyard into cooler evenings.
Positioned near seating areas, they can create inviting gathering spaces separate from the swimming pool.
Outdoor Kitchens & Entertainment
An outdoor kitchen makes it easier to prepare meals and host gatherings without constantly moving between the house and backyard.
Artistic Pools can incorporate outdoor cooking and entertaining areas into a larger backyard construction project.
From grilling stations and preparation surfaces to seating and covered spaces, the design can reflect how you prefer to entertain.

Why Cypress Homeowners Consider Artistic Pools
Choosing a swimming pool contractor means trusting someone with a major investment in your property.
Homeowners need a builder who understands their goals, communicates clearly, and takes responsibility for bringing the project together.
Artistic Pools emphasizes personal involvement and customized construction.
-
Instead of navigating a complicated chain of contacts, homeowners work directly with the builder.
That personal involvement helps keep design decisions, questions, and construction updates connected throughout the project.
-
A pool for a compact backyard may require a very different approach than one built on a larger lot.
We develop custom layouts around the space available rather than expecting every property to accommodate the same design.
-
Artistic Pools has been creating custom swimming pools and outdoor living spaces since 2011.
Our work includes new pool construction, integrated spas, outdoor kitchens, and backyard renovations.
-
Customer feedback frequently mentions responsiveness, guidance, and the attention given to individual projects.
We encourage prospective customers to review our completed work and learn more about the experiences of past homeowners.
Have an Existing Pool in Cypress? Consider Remodeling
An aging pool doesn't necessarily need to be replaced to improve your backyard.
Updating outdated materials, worn finishes, or surrounding features can make an existing swimming pool feel more inviting and better suited to your current needs.
Artistic Pools provides remodeling services that can address pool surfaces, coping, tile, and other elements of the surrounding outdoor environment.
The right improvements depend on your existing pool's condition and the changes you'd like to make.
